NYCFPAC endorses Michael Kicinski, a Republican, in his bid to replace the incumbent Rep. Richard Hanna in the 22nd Congressional District. Rev. Jason J. McGuire, Executive Director of NYCFPAC, stated: “From Rep. Richard Hanna’s support of abortion-rights, to encouraging support for liberal Democratic candidates, his membership in the LGBT caucus, and repeated votes to increase the nation’s debt limit, it is clear that Hanna is no conservative. It is time a principled conservative, not one of convenience, sat in this seat.” “Mike Kicinski is the everyday man. He isn’t someone who was seeking office, but someone who could not sit idly by while his opponent ran roughshod over his constituent’s wishes,” added McGuire. Michael Kicinski, 53, has lived in New York for 35 years. He is no newcomer to the issues impacting the region. By trade, Kicinski is an electronics engineer who came to know the pain of unemployment when his company downsized his position after the economic downturn following 9/11. Kathy, his wife, is a registered nurse providing their family with unique insight into the healthcare issues facing the people of the 22nd district. Mike and Kathy, married 23 years, have 12 children (7 boys, 5 girls), and 1 daughter-in-law. Their family regularly attends services at Holmesville Baptist Church in South New Berlin. McGuire believes, “Mike’s faith will help guide his decisions in Washington, DC. He has not shied away from his convictions regarding the sanctity of human life, the sacredness of marriage or a proper limited role of government.” The 22nd Congressional District includes all of Chenango, Cortland, Madison and Oneida counties and part of Broome, Herkimer, Oswego and Tioga counties. NYCFPAC encourages all registered Republicans of the 22nd to get out and vote for Michael Kicinski in the June 26th Republican Primary. # # # The mission of NYCFPAC is to elect pro-life, pro-family, and pro-freedom candidates to political office in New York. This endorsement is not authorized by any candidate or candidate’s committee. |
