Kicinski Is Not New to NY-22
Michael Kicinski, Congressional Candidate for the New York 22nd District and on the ballot for the Republican Primary set for June 26, has issued this press release concerning the new Congressional district.
Michael Kicinski is a founding member of Norwich [NY] TEA Party Patriots and he is on its Local Coordinator Committee. Kicinski lives in Earlville, a small Village conveniently located in the middle of the district. Kicinski says though he identifies with Norwich TPP, he and the group have been active and supportive of events and work in areas both north and south in the new district boundaries.
Kicinski has lived in New York for almost 35 years and has been involved in local and national issues for 25 years. "We have attended rallies, seminars, and political events in Binghamton and Vestal locations over the past 3 years. We have met many people dedicated to seeing this nation go in the right direction," Kicinski said.
Mike's opponent, Richard Hanna, has said he looks forward to meeting people in the new area of Binghamton. Kicinski responded with, "Binghamton is not new to me, even though I was not in that voting district until now. We have relationships with several groups in the area comprising hundreds of members," Kicinski said. "We worked together supporting good candidates these last few years. And since my parents are originally from the Triple Cities area, I have a personal connection to the area because we spent many holidays and summers in Johnson City and Vestal with my Grandparents."
Kicinski has a personal connection with another area of the NY-22 District also, that of Cortland. "I worked at Marietta in Cortland for one year, so I learned first hand about the area jobs and businesses," Kicinski said. "I can also relate to what the Rome Lab is experiencing, being directly involved in past Research and Development lab work and the economic downsizing and layoffs."
Kicinski knows much about the district and the people's needs. He has been working with groups throughout the new District 22 on special elections and the general elections of 2010. "We have worked with groups based in Utica/Rome and Cortland areas, which generally covers all areas, with members from Oswego and Herkimer Counties," said Kicinski. "Our network grew fast and is active. The media says the 'TEA Party' is dead, though reported facts show otherwise."
Michael Kicinski knows what is needed to rejuvenate New York businesses and jobs. "Unlike my opponent, I will vote against increased taxes and an increased debt limit. My opponent voted three times to increase our debt limit, now at $16.4 Trillion," Kicinski said. "This taxing, spending, and borrowing has to stop, along with reducing or eliminating regulations and unfunded mandates. Our hard earned money should stay in New York and not sent to the Federal government through higher taxes."
Michael Kicinski is on the ballot for the New York Republican Congressional Primary set for June 26.
