Kicinski Endorsed By New York State Right to Life
Earlville, NY (June 11, 2012) - New York State Right To Life Committee has endorsed Michael Kicinski in the race for New York's 22nd Congressional District. In a letter dated June 8 by Kicinski, it reads, ""We sincerely appreciate your commitment to defend and protect unborn children, the dependent elderly and those with disabilities."
Michael Kicinski, 53, of Earlville, NY, is running for the Republican line because he says the incumbent does not represent the Republican values and platform. "It is clear from my opponent's record that he is not conservative, he is not Republican," Kicinski said. "He has proven through his voting record that he does not represent the People or the Republican Party."
The Republican Party states: "Faithful to the first guarantee of the Declaration of Independence, we assert the inherent dignity and sanctity of all human life and affirm that the unborn child has a fundamental individual right to life which cannot be infringed. We support a human life amendment to the Constitution, and we endorse legislation to make clear that the Fourteenth Amendment’s protections apply to unborn children. We oppose using public revenues to promote or perform abortion and will not fund organizations which advocate it."
"Mr. Hanna votes to fund Planned Parenthood, the nation's largest abortion provider," Kicinski said. "And Mr. Hanna refused to protect baby girls in the womb by voting against the Prenatal Non-Discrimination Act," He continued. "Mr. Hanna does not back a Constitutional Amendment to protect life in the womb."
Kicinski has been involved in local and national issues for over 25 years, including Life issues. Besides supporting and being part of local Life groups, rallies, and protests over the years, he has been a regular attendee at the annual March for Life in Washington, DC. "I have taken part in the March for Life on the Supreme Court for most of the past 25 years, missing maybe a 'handful' of years," said Kicinski. His children have also participated. "As our family grew, so did the size of our group from New York." Mike Kicinski and his wife Cathy are proud parents of a large family. When people ask him if he is pro-life, he simply states, "I have 12 children, what do you think?"
On the endorsement by New York State Right to Life, Kicinski said, "This endorsement means a lot to me and the campaign. It tells us we have the support of committed, uncompromising, and caring people. It also tells us that others trust us in our mission to protect life at all stages."
Michael Kicinski is on the ballot for the New York Republican Congressional Primary set for June 26.
