Kicinski Denounces Gender Vote

Kicinski for Congress denounces the Congressional approval of abortions based on sex selection. Yesterday, protection for girls in the womb was lost as PRENDA (Prenatal Non-Discrimination Act) was defeated. New York representative Richard Hanna voted against the bill.

Michael Kicinski, candidate for Congress on the Republican Primary for New York District 22, supports the Constitutional protection of life at all stages, especially those that do not have a voice. Kicinski said that the failure to protect against sex-selection through abortions places the United States in the same category as other countries who do not have a high value of girls. Richard Hanna, also on the primary ballot, agrees that it is "a real problem in countries like India and China" and calls it "abhorrent," but he still voted against the protection of unborn baby girls.

Kicinski said, "My opponent boasts of his support for women, yet he voted against protecting baby girls in the womb. My opponent says he 'personally opposes abortion' and 'shares the goal of ending sex-selection wherever it may occur,' but he failed at the chance to prove it."

Supporters of abortion call the defeat of PRENDA a "victory for women." while also saying they oppose abortions based on whether the baby is a boy or a girl. Opposing PRENDA shows support of abortion based on sex-selection.

"This is nothing but plain hypocrisy," Kicinski said. "My opponent claims he wants to 'reduce instances of abortion,' supports 'equal rights for all girls and women,' and wants to see 'gender discrimination at all stages abolished,' said Kicinski. "But refusing to ban sex-selection abortions through his 'no' vote is certainly a poor way to show this. It is clear by his record that Richard Hanna has joined the Democrat Party war on women by voting to support the killing of unborn baby girls that would become women of the future."

Michael Kicinski is on the ballot for the New York Republican Primary set for June 26.
